Kohli retirement

Cricket Desk- India entered the field on Wednesday with the aim of saving the series against Bangladesh. After losing the first match, India had no choice but to win this match to save the series. But Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan failed miserably with the bat in this important match.

With Virat and Shikhar failing in two consecutive matches, fans suggested their retirement this time. Rohit Sharma could not open due to a thumb injury, instead Virat Kohli came to open with Shikhar Dhawan.

Both the openers flopped in crucial matches. Virat came to open ODI cricket after eight years. Virat Kohli scored only 5 runs where he needed a big innings. Shikhar Dhawan scored 8 runs.

Indian fans are extremely disappointed with the failure of two order batsmen. They vented their anger on social media. One supporter wrote, "I think (Virat) Kohli, (Shikhar) Dhawan and Rohit (Sharma) should retire."

Venting his frustration, a supporter tagged BCCI and wrote, "Dear BCCI, can we get rid of old men like Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and VVS Lakhnan. The team and the country can't take them anymore."

Not only did Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan fail in this match. These two high profile batsmen did not get a run in the first match of the series. Virat and Shikhar could not even reach double digit runs. In the first match, Virat Kohli scored 9 runs and Shikhar Dhawan scored 7 runs.
